Total length of the film = 1 hour 47 minutes

Q4. Another film started at 19:23 and lasted 131 minutes. What time did it finishes?

Film started at = 19:23

Length of film = 131 minutes = 2 hours 11 minutes

Film finishes at = 19:23 + 2 hours 11 minutes

= 21:34

Q5. How long is it from

a) 12:34 pm to 1:15 pm

12:34 to 1:00 = 26 minutes

1:00 to 1:15 = 15 minutes

total = 26+15 = 41 minutes

b) 7:34 pm to 6:10 am

7:34 to 8:00 pm = 26 minutes

8:00 pm to 6:00 am = 10 hours

6:00 to 6:10 am = 10 minutes

total = 10 hours 36 minutes

c) 8:35 am to 12:10 pm

8:35 am to 9:00 am = 25 minutes

9:00 to 12:00 pm = 3 hours

12:00 to 12:10 pm = 10 minutes

Q6. A train leave the station at 13:15.

20 minutes later it arrives at the station 1.

12 minutes after that it reaches the station 2.

17 minutes after that it reaches the station 3.

Work out the total time taken by the train to reach the final destination.

train starts at 13:15

Time to reach destination = 13:15 + 20+12+17

=13:15 +49 minutes
