R=5%p.a.

P=?

A= P(1+r/100)^n

176400 = P(1+5/100)^2

 

P= 160000

 

Q2. The population of a town 2 years ago was 62500. Due to migration to cities it decreases every year at the rate of 4% p.a. Find its present population?

Ans:- 57600

 

Q3. A scooty is bought for $32000. Its value depreciates at 10% p.a.. What will be its value after 2 years?

Ans:-  $25920

Q4. The present population of a village is 5408. If it has increased at the rate of 4%every year, What was the population two years ago?

Ans:- 5000

 

Q5. In a certain experiment the count of bacteria increasing at the rate of 2.5% per hour. Initially, the count was 512000. Find the bacteria at the end of 2 hours.
