x^2 = 7^2 +10^2

x^2 = 49 +100

x^2 = 149cm^2

X= 12.20cm(approx) = Hyp

d) P = 5m

B= 9m

h^2 = P^2 +B^2

x^2 = 5^2 +9^2

x^2 = 25 +81 = 106cm^2

x= 10.3m approx = Hyp


Q3. B=5cm

P= 12cm

Let Hyp = a

By Pythagoras thm.

h^2 = P^2 +B^2

a^2 = 12^2 +5^2

a^2 = 144 +25 =169cm^2

a= 13cm

Length of diagonal = 13cm


Q4. Base = 12cm

P= 8cm

H= acm

By Pythagoras thm.

h^2 = P^2 +B^2

a^2 = 8^2 +12^2

a^2 = 64 cm^2 +144 cm^2

a^2 = 208 cm^2

a= 14.42 cm= hyp
